Why with Loumey

Four reasons that differentiate this service

  • 01

    Consolidated catalog

A single purchase order for equipment that would normally require 8–12 different suppliers.

  • 02

    Managed regulatory clearance

MSP / ANMAT / ANVISA / INVIMA registration handled by Loumey before delivery — never an asset stuck in customs.

  • 03

    Strategic pre-stock

Rotating inventory in Uruguay for sub-30 day delivery on critical consumables and spare parts.

  • 04

    Trade-in & decommissioning

We accept legacy equipment as upgrade credit. Certified disposal of retired equipment with traceability report.

Lead times and consolidation

The real value of buying through Loumey isn’t the spot discount — it’s logistics consolidation. When a hospital builds a project requiring 8 different manufacturers:

  • 8 purchase orders → 1 with Loumey
  • 8 regulatory clearance processes → 1 consolidated package
  • 8 different SLAs → 1 single continental SLA
  • 8 unsynchronized lead times → a coordinated dispatch plan

On multi-equipment projects we have managed, consolidation replaces between 3 and 6 parallel contracts with one and typically reduces the number of technical points of contact from 8 to 1. The exact impact on total cost of ownership (TCO) varies by project scope and is quantified in the technical proposal.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Do you sell individual equipment or only integrated packages?
Both. While our greatest value is in turn-key projects, we also sell individual equipment, spares and consumables to clients who already have an integrator or only need a targeted upgrade. The difference is that each individual item still includes technical service and regulatory clearance.
  • How do you manage lead time on critical equipment like MRI or CT?
For 64-slice CT or 1.5T/3T MRI, typical factory lead time is 12–18 weeks. We add 2–4 weeks for transit, customs and installation. Total: 14–22 weeks from purchase order to first patient. For clinical urgencies we have relationships that allow prioritization on some models.
  • Can you bring refurbished equipment?
Yes, for tight budgets. We work only with original-manufacturer-certified refurbished (no third-party), with warranty equivalent to new equipment. Typical discount is 30–50% depending on equipment and original age.
  • What is the difference between buying through you vs. directly from the manufacturer?
For a single unit: little price difference, but you gain local regulatory clearance and continental technical service. For multi-equipment projects: significant logistics and time savings (consolidated duties, coordinated installations, one SLA instead of N). The model's sweet spot is projects of US$ 500k+.
